Dave & Jodes – Eves on the River Wedding

More wedding photos! Dave & Jodie had one of the more relaxed weddings I’ve ever been a part of. Just one big party with their closest family and friends – the kind of wedding I really look forward to working on. I met up with Dave and his best man Steve at the Brekky Creek Hotel for a few photos before heading off to meet up with Jodie & Mardee for some detail and getting ready shots. Jodie then caught the boat (City Cat) over to Eves on the River at Newstead where they tied the knot under the trees on the lawn. The weather gods were smiling on these two and the nasty rain from the morning cleared long enough for their outdoor ceremony and a few photos nearby – it’s funny how things just work themselves out sometimes.

All the best for a long and happy life together guys!

old sydney town

I spent some time in Sydney last week catching up with some friends. It just so happened to be my first trip to Sydney so the camera got a bit of a workout. What a great city! I’d heard so much about why people loved it, but being from north of the border immediately dismissed the hype as rubbish.  I was wrong. Awesome beaches, great food, beautiful architecture and nice weather (as well as heaps of traffic and sky high rent unfortunately). I’d love to shoot a wedding in Sydney. There’s so many great backdrops and great architecture for wedding photography in Sydney. Here’s a few of my touristy happy snaps. Thanks for showing me around and lending me a couch Steve & Maddie. See you guys in August.
